Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using JustAnswer's website, mobile applications, or any related services (collectively, "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

2. Description of Services

JustAnswer provides an online platform that connects users ("Members") with independent professionals ("Experts") for informational question-and-answer services across various categories including, but not limited to, legal, medical, veterinary, financial, and technical fields.

JustAnswer also operates a Rights Protection service that assists individuals who have been victims of online fraud, investment scams, and other financial crimes. This service is provided on a best-efforts basis and JustAnswer makes no guarantee of fund recovery.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

JustAnswer offers subscription-based access and pay-per-question options. All fees are stated in US dollars unless otherwise specified.

4.1 Subscription Terms

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.

4.2 Refunds

If you are not satisfied with an Expert's response, you may request a refund within 7 days of the transaction. Refund eligibility is determined at JustAnswer's sole discretion. Rights Protection service fees are non-refundable once the investigation has commenced.

5. Prohibited User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm experts or other users
• Attempt to contact experts outside the platform to circumvent fees
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar tools without authorization
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws
• Submit fraudulent fraud claims to misuse the Rights Protection service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our Services

6. Expert Standards & Independence

Experts on JustAnswer are independent contractors, not employees of JustAnswer. JustAnswer verifies credentials and monitors quality but does not control the specific advice provided. Expert responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute formal legal, medical, financial, or professional advice establishing a professional-client relationship.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the JustAnswer platform, including text, graphics, logos, software, and the JustAnswer name and brand, is owned by JustAnswer LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. JUSTANSWER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. EXPERT RESPONSES ARE INFORMATIONAL AND MAY NOT BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUSTANSWER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 USD OR (B) THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JustAnswer, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You waive any right to a jury trial and the right to participate in any class action.

Exception: Either party may bring claims in small claims court for qualifying disputes. Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting issues to regulatory authorities.

12. Termination

JustAnswer reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, your right to use the Services immediately ceases.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to exclusive jurisdiction in the courts located in San Francisco County, California, for any disputes not subject to arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or a prominent website notice at least 30 days before they become effective. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
